Justice in this country is not a right but a luxury only few lucky victims get. You either have to be rich and influential or hope for good amount of media light on your case. Speaking of which I wounder if the Delhi rape victim had got this media attention if she would had been 'normally' rape minus the gruesome act that followed? I don't think so. It would have been just another rape and no one would had cared about it. There have been many cases in the past which were highlighted by the media and the Government came with the same trick to douse the fire .. Fast Track court. Setting up a fast track court for a particular case is like sticking a Band-Aid on a wound which requires 100 stitches. law l Until now we have been considering UP-Bihar as the worst states when it came to law and order, but according to statistics publish by the National Crime Records Bureau few weeks back Maharashtra seems to have taken over the leading position.
